NON-Christians post here

Ethnic Jewish, spiritually agnostic.

Robin

Atheist. (Jewish/Presbyterian religious heritage, largely Jewish and Quaker religious exposure, Episcopalian choir experience, affection for Indian religions. But still very committed to and contented with atheism.)

Hey, Wiccan here! I’m from the Oak, Ash and Thorn Tradition in Nashville, TN. The boyfriend, Searles, is Asatruar and we’re both looking into Celtic Reconstructionism. Good enough for you? :stuck_out_tongue:

I call myself an atheist because “agnostic” sounds too wishy-washy.

As any good logical thinker would, however, I’m open to any evidence that proves (a) god exists. Problem is, all I ever hear are the same, weak-willed, unsubstainable excuses; so I’m reduced to waiting for Jesus Christ to pop up on my front porch one morning for a chat over toast and juice.

Pismonquism.
It may be very similar to Deism, but I’d have to read up more on Deism to be sure.

I’m an agnostic.

Ahem?!

And the next thing you know, you have a pantry full of WonderBread and a wine cellar the neighbors would envy.

Soft-atheist / cultural christian. For the purpose of a count, I wish to be counted as “non-christian.” NOT that I’m hoping to see Phil lose.

Iconoclast. Surfing on the interface between the real and the imaginary.

Wiccan

Atheist.

Pragmatic deist.

(These polls have a real self-selection bias, by the way; while I don’t know a better way to do it, I’d hardly take the results as reflective of active SDMB posters as a whole–which was the terms of the bet on the other thread, right?)

Agnostic with Taoist/Zen Buddhist overtones.

Deist…
With illusions of grandeur

The general stereotype/impression of “agnostic” is “someone who doesn’t really know if there’s a god or not.” Which, of course, invites passing fundamentalists to try and win you over to their way of thinking.

“Atheist”, at least, has the connotation of “staunchly KNOWS that there is no god,” which is closer to my own mindset. The fundamentalists still flock around, but they know they have an uphill battle on their hands.

Jesicist.

Jewish, but not very observent

Fenris

I only believe in one fewer god than DITWD.

Buddhist + neo-Pagan - the supernatural parts = City Gent

Phil: It doesn’t look like the bet is going your way. In the name of all that is sacred, don’t eat the hamburgers!! Or if you feel you must, eat them in little bits over several hours. As a lapsed vegetarian, trust me on this one.

Emphasis on “Zen” - not a believer in reincarnation.

I’m kinda agnostic, kinda pantheist, kinda pagan, kinda… (etc)

But definitely not Christian.
