I have a hard drive (Compaq, about 1996; Windows 98 Plus!) whose capacity is about 1 gigabyte, and the unused space thereon is about 100,000 bytes (approximately 100 megabytes… )
Anyway, a friend recently gave me some art and print software whose volume is about 120 MB. I usually wind up with around 10,000 bytes of space used up by Temporary Internet Files, after a 1 1/2- or two-hour session on the Internet (AOL). I regularly empty the TIF folder before unbooting.
I’d like to know what to do with “Non-Critical Files” (a selection that shows up when I go into Disk Cleanup mode) so as to free some HD space without screwing up my programs. Are there any special criteria or procedures for this? Thanks very much.
