What are some non-domesticated animals you’d like as a pet? I’d like a skunk (descented, of course) - yes, I understand that there are some individual skunks that are domesticated, but as a species they are not. They’re very cute and smart, and just seem like they would be fun to have around.
Also, a marmoset would be great. I love their huge eyes! Plus, when I gave new people directions to rooms in my apt, I could say such things as, “the bathroom is on the right, just past the marmoset”
Disclaimer:
I’m not actually advocating taking in wild animals as pets. They are not pets, nor should they be. This is purely for amusement
these little guys CAN actually be purchased as pets, and supposedly make really good companions. But they need a lot of space, and are apparently near impossible to housetrain (as per National Geographic).
My fondest wish would be to go behind my house every morning, jump into a half-acre-size tropical temperature swimming pool and swim with my two pet dolphins.
I want a lion. I always liked “Kitty Kat”, the Lion on The Addams Family. I want a lion just like Kitty Kat! And a carnivorous vine named Cleopatra. I don’t think it’s too much to ask, really!
I’ve wanted a pet ocelot ever since I was a wee kiddie. This has only been reinforced by recent visits to an ocelot sanctuary where I got to enter their cages and interact with them (I even got a hug!)
If it wasn’t illegal to own one (and probably pretty stupid unless you’ve got a lot of time and energy to invest) I’d love to have one as a pet.
I’m with Indygrrl. I wanted to say that in both my other posts but I had a brain fart and I couldn’t remember what it was called. I wanted to say lemming but I knew that was wrong.
Fine choices but is there really such thing as an African Strangler?
Keeping a flying critter as a caged pet does not seem cool to me which is why a penguin seems like the best bird pet. They also look like they might have some personality - just got to keep it away from the house plants.
