Non-Hollywood Broadway Shows on tape?

Periodically, I get the munchies for a Broadway musical. Today I wanted to watch Man of La Mancha (perhaps to believe that one can indeed retreat from the real world). I went down to the local video store and all they had was that (my opinion) horrible Peter O’Toole, Sofia Loren and James Coco version.

I know that all Broadway shows now make video tapes of their shows, I’ve seen one or two. But is it possible to purchase (or even rent) them? If so where?

I did a brief search but had no luck. So…point me in the right direction, please.

I don’t know about general location. I’ve got a tape of Pippin that was non-Hollywood. I nw there are thers – ry a BIG vide catalog, like “Movies Unlimited” (1-800-4MOVIES). I’m pretty sue here are others ( I seem to ecal a Les Miserables" tae).

I agree with you about “Man of La Mancha” – I love Peter O’Toole and Sophia Loren and James Coco – but they’re just wrong. What the hell was wrong with getting Howard Kiel and Joan Diener?
