Nonalcoholic drinks that mix well

Back when I worked at an amusement park, I liked grape and orange slush puppies mixed together.

Mmm, suicides. I used to be all about them as a kid.

These days I usually mix Coke/Pepsi and Dr. Pepper. Sometimes I’ll do Coke and Sprite.

That sounds familiar, in California. I only remember hearing it at fairs, so it may be that those noble carnies exported it from wherever they hell they are from.

My favourite non-alcoholic drink (with diet coke that is), including a slice of lemon. The pulpier the orange juice, the better.

Around here, Tiger’s Blood is its own flavor not a mixed flavor. My kids have ordered it but I have no idea what it tastes like.

We call them suicide around here as well. I have a son who’s at that age where it’s not done properly unless it includes everything. It must be horrible. I prefer unadventurous mixes. Lemonade and sprite sounds like just my style actually. I do like shirley temples as well.

I’ve never heard of any special name for this, though I do it regularly. I’ve tried but rejected mixing everything. Generally I find that starting with a 2/3rds base of regular soda (coke or sprite) and adding either or both Dr Pepper and any citrusy drink works well. I would never use anything chocolate or any energy drinks in a mix.

I also love the supermarket brand that mixes half lemonade half ice tea together. It seems obvious but I never thought to do it and it tastes great.

Ditto! Takes just a shot or two of the sugared drink in a huge diet, and it tastes so good nobody who tastes it suspects it’s diet at all.

My fave is Mr. Pibb instead of Dr. Pepper, which my workplace has on fountain for some reason. <3

I used to love blackcurrant cordial mixed with 7-up/Sprite/white lemonade.

Don’t know the brand, but that drink is known as an Arnold Palmer.

Anyhow, I, too, don’t remember any special name for mixing fountain drinks willy nilly.

It was a graveyard growing up in Washington. I always stayed away from root beer and orange because they were just too powerful and would take over any drink.

Arizona brand iced tea makes a good Arnold Palmer
