Nora, Theo, and...

K.J. ( Kelly jr.)

Not a name I would pick but I thought Nora, Theo and Quentin.

So it should be Posthumo.

Regards,
It’s spelt Throatwarbler Mangrove, but it is pronounced Shodan

Change the sex of the sibling. Anoushka, their half sister.

My first thought was Charles. Probably inspired by Nora Charles.

Something formal-ish, I think.

James? Peter? William? (Though I think Will would flow nicely too). You could give him an old fashioned name like Byron and a little-brother kind of nickname, maybe something like Shorty or Digs or JR or something. Or name him after his father Kelley, but call him Kai (rhymes with Hi).

Finn, short for Finnegan.

Kelley and Erin are both Irish names, and while the other kids’ names aren’t, perhaps they found their roots for the third kid.

Nora, Theo and Finn.

Jonathan

You joke, but I learned recently that Posthumus is not an uncommon surname, and actually comes from a patronym, being born after the father’s death.

Phillip

If the 4 letter thing matters then it would be Kell. Short for Kelley of course, I assume Theo is short for Theodore and Nora short for Eleanor or some other name.

Naming schemes aside her late husband would be on her mind.

For the Rule of Three to work the third name should be quite distinctively different like Giuseppe or Mohammed.

No one ever picks Ebenezer for some reason.

Oliver

Sebastian

Actual siblings of a Nora and a two Theos I know are Leo, Asher and Benjamin (called Benja).

Just realized you don’t really want a Theo and a Leo. However, you could turn Leo into Liam, which is an enormously popular name right now, among kids around preschool age. We have about a half dozen in the preschool where I work. It can be a standalone name, or short for William.

Ian, or Ioan if you want to go all Welsh and stuff. Alternatively, since Nora and Theo ring as 1920s names to me, something like Evelyn or Albert, maybe? Ev or Bert for short.

I think that the suggestion about the 1920s might be getting somewhere. I found this list but it is very long so I have only skimmed it yet http://www.baby2see.com/names/1920s.html

Some of these I have never heard of before (Elmore, Norval… Hard nos to both) . And some are both odd and appealing like Merritt…

Some that fit well in my ear with Nora and Theo:

Daniel
Paul
Saul
Brian
Guy
Henry
Simon
Ben

I think the one-syllable names might be best, by my ear. If I had to pick one, I’d say “Paul”.
