Nora, Theo, and...

I’m stuck on a silly issue with writing a story: I can’t think of a kid’s name that goes with the others. This story is set this decade and the main character has three kids, nine-year-old boy/girl twins hypothetically named Theo and Nora, and a seven-year-old son. If it helps, she’s Erin and her late husband, who died when she was pregnant with the youngest, was Kelley.

Without knowing anything more about the family but the mom’s taste in names, if I introduced you to this woman’s kids, what name would you expect/predict/want Theo and Nora’s little brother to have?

Maybe with some crowd sourcing of ideas, I can get the character named and move on

The twins should be Theodore and Dorthy. (Get it?)

Kelley Jr. (I guess it would just be Kelley).

Theo is either of Greek or German (depending on the family root name) and Nora ranges from European to Arabian descendents.

If you want to keep the 4-letter scheme, I’d say Eric would work. But that’s just IMHO.

Henry

Attila James.

Or Genghis Bob.

Sean

Eric is good.

Hugo, clearly!

“John” has a nice cadence-ending beat to it. “Nora, Theo and John”.

Seconding. Or Kell?

John is a nice name.

Oswald. Known commonly as Ozzie, of course.

Gary.

Benjamin.

I would not keep the four-letter scheme. I’d follow the classic Rule of Three – two similar items and then a twist of some kind to the third.

Such as . . . Benedict? It does go with the others, in that it has a sort of well-educated cultured parents vibe like the other two. I hope they are British, otherwise you will have to up the cultured aspect quite a bit. I like Benjamin and Benedict both.

Julian.

Sam.

Without reading any of the responses, I figured the brother should follow the four-letter name example of his siblings, and my consequent thought was Zack (full name, as opposed to a nickname for Zachary).
