Well I’m starting a summer cold and of course my nose is running.
So why do I wake up in the morning with a DRY and BURNING throat?
Shouldn’t all that post-nasal drip be keeping things lubricated???

Most common reason for dry throat is breathing through your mouth at night and/or snoring.
There are some remedies for this, just search for “dry throat.”
One that works for me is a thing called Chinup strips you can see here .
It’s more that post-nasal drip irritates the throat, making you cough more and giving a dry and burning feeling from the constant hacking.
I just saw a doctor for a nasty persistent cough (through always felt irriated) and he blamed the runny nose from seasonal allergies. Sure enough with some FloNase my throat feels better after a few days of use.
Well, perhaps in some cases, but I haven’t coughed once.
I have the exact same thing. For the first two days Motrin was taking care of the throat pain, but it seems to have stopped working.
Anybody know…outside of NYC, are there such things as pharmacies that deliver?
