Nostradomous (sp?) supposedly predicted many, many things about the roman catholic system, including the new popes. The question is did he predict one of the largest scandals in the history of the church, the pedophile priests?
I would do the research for this but I have no time at all.
Nostradamus’ writings were so general and vague that with a little imagination you can argue that he foretold pretty much anything…or pretty much nothing.
Nostradamus’s predictions have never been used to predict anything in advance with any accuracy above pure chance. You can find correlations between events in history and some of his writings if you look hard enough, but that should be unsuprising - Notradamus’s writings are such a vast quantity of gibberish that you can find nearly anything in it if you look hard enough.
Hey, don’t knock Nostradamus. Hundreds of years ago, he predicted that Saturday, November 30, 2002, would be followed by Sunday, December 1, THAT VERY SAME YEAR.
I’m just disinclined to consider pedo priests “one of the largest scandals in the history of the church” what with holy wars and papal children and whatnot.
Well, sure, but did any of those scandals of the past ever have the Church on the brink of bankruptcy? NPR’s Morning Edition said the lawsuits have driven the Church to that point. Monitor E’bay for some cool deals on highly ornate doodaddery!
