Not a teahouse I would ever go to

I am not afraid of heights, but I am afraid of dying a terrible, plummety death. I’d do it, but the woman daring me to do so would have to be a real keeper.

Probably early in the morning, before sunrise.

In the last picture it sure looks like the easier ascent is on the opposite side of the mountain, who planned this trail?

Sadist? A masochist who wanted a teahouse?

Maniacal Monks? It does sort of remind me of the comic meme of the zen monk perched on top of a mountain somewhere =)

There’s a Best Western hidden in the trees just off camera.

Someone with a web cam who wants to achieve YouTube fame. Duh. :stuck_out_tongue:

So does this thing actually exist, the way it’s pictured? All I can find is the one website (which is short on details) and others referring back to it.

Paging Ruffian!, we got another one for you!

I’ve seen photos of that teahouse from the 1930’s when it was a monastery. I’d didn’t know they’d upgraded it to a teahouse. ([Wiki article](Mount Hua Shan))

Next upgrade: a helipad?
