I’m going to read the link as well, because I thought it was a reference to Children of the Corn.
Damn, this board is educational!
Heh heh – Thanks, Dooku, I’m sure there are more of them. The one I linked was in my recent memory, as it was just a couple weeks ago. So, ooga, it’s still infrequent enough to be relatively original. (After all, it’s not like you mentioned 1920s Things That Will Not Be Named here…)
I’m just a caveman, and NIA’s ways are a mystery to me. But could someone explain what he means by saying Canadians fought Hitler but also respected him long before you did
color me stumped.
(it’s sort of an orangish ochre color)
Monstre, I claim no special ownership of coining the phrase here at SDMB, of course…
It was an old family insult as my brothers and I grew up addicted to Twilight Zone. Then I saw it used on MST3K, making me an instant fan of that show from that point forward…
In the same vein, JAR, I was puzzled by “Your country went to with another country (germany) commercially while canadians died, as always, bravely on the field of battle.” They always die? What, are they pointing their guns the wrong way?
Jeez, it looks like I give the Canadian military a boatload more credit than he does.
That story is totally disturbing, BTW.
And if you count the rings, you can see how old she is…
Hmm… I’ll tell my friend Corey about that and see what he thinks. He says he’s never heard of it… well, neither have I till just now.
Also wants to know if you’ve ever tried it.
F_X
Besides insulting me and my country, tard boy, exactly what point were you trying to make there? If you can’t understand what I say, ask your fucking teach for remedial english. More important, get a real government, and ask for de-propogantization. As far as governments go, prick, you are supposed to be allowed to vote them in or out. Poor fucking stool.

More important, get a real government, and ask for de-propogandtization and democracy lessons. As far as governments go, prick, you are supposed to be allowed to vote them in or out. Poor fucking stool.
Is the same guy that thought the english in this thread was too difficult to comprehend telling someone else that they need remedial english? Ironic huh.
I type quickly and don’t bother to spell check things, administrator. My ideas are exact, and I could never believe anyone else would have a faint clue what I’m talking about, which was why I gave up on communication. I have recently, in the corn field, been accused of being anti-American, and nothing could be further from the truth. I am pro-democracy and anti-lie. You see what I am trying to say.
In short, no.
As per Jarbabyj’s request, could you please elaborate on your statement that:
“Canadians fought Hitler but also respected him long before you did”
Not In Anger, please don’t talk about “our country.” You are clearly too stupid to be Canadian, with only the vaguest grasp of history and politics.
I’m guessing your name is supposed to be ironic or something, right?
Not to defend such ramblings, but I took the comment to mean that he believes that Canadians saw the danger of Hitler before Americans. The second definition Miriam-Webster gives for “respect” is:
I think your assumption (as well as most people’s) was more like:
That you’re an idiot who doesn’t know what he’s talking about?
Tard boy? Good grief.
Not In Anger shut up, get a clue and get back in the damn cornfield you moronic bastard.
If you have given up on communication then what the FUCK are you doing posting your nonsensical bullshit here? Not only does noone understand you, NOONE CARES.
I now return you to your much deserved pitting.
Actually, I’m still scratching my head at NIA’s late comment in the “buttons on men’s suit sleeves” thread in the Comments on Cecil’s Columns forum. Dunno where the heck THAT came from.
But if right off the bat you dismiss being able to communicate your meaning to others, what the hell good does it do to post?
Otherwise we’d have the argument (exemplified though not invented by Justhink) where a poster claims his ideas are so exact, precise and transparent that they cannot be further translated into “layman’s terms” and it is everyone else who has to learn what he means.
I agree with the first six words of this.

Shodan
