Not Sure If This is a GD, But.....

There has been an awful lot of back and forth on this thread about whether or not the “no cart” rule was arbitrary. Plenty of perfectly good, well thought out arguments for either position.

Well. I say to-MAY-to, you say to-MAH-to. We can argue all we like, but the fact is we are not the ones who get to make the decision. It is the PGA that sponsors the sport, so they get to decide. Not us.

Certainly not the Supreme Court. Except that they took the power to do this, and forced the PGA to change the rules, and it seems no one can stop them.

It really does beg the question: Is there any effective limit to the power of the Court? Is there any part of our lives that they, or at least they in conjunction with the congress, cannot touch?

That’s exactly what I’m saying, Al. Stuff like this just kicks down the door, and allows manipulation of every damn aspect of our lives.

Why hasn’t anyone sued the Olympic committee, because they don’t allow wheelchairs in the 400m dash?

Oh great, I hope I didn’t give anyone an idea.
