Biden’s always been handsy and boundary-free to an extent; it’s been a running joke on the Senate floor for at least 20 years that I’ve heard about it. His careless, thoughtless behavior opens him up to hurting people he does not know well b/c he’s just being old personable Joe. But old personable Joe is fucking creepy. I don’t know what kick he gets out of putting his hands on people in a situation where they can’t complain loudly w/o ruining an important moment, but it’s telling that seems to be where he mostly chooses to do it.
It’s not b/c he’s old, he’s done it since his 50s. He enjoys touching people when he knows he controls the room. He’s lucky no one’s clocked him, and I’ve certainly never heard of anyone standing up to him then or later. So until now enough people have been fine w/ the status quo that they didn’t act; that complacency is one of the bigger problems the #MeToo movement is working against.
What he does and how he does it is not ok. I wouldn’t vote for him due to his age primarily; I think his age is part of the problem he has not thinking of other people’s boundaries. He grew up seeing that powerful men do what they want and only think of others when forced to.
Lucy Flores of course was dumb at the time and was unable to tell Biden she was uncomfortable with his touching her.

Well, one famous compilation is a highly edited hit piece. The editing make the activity appear more creepy and the reactions worse.
But Joe is a friendly man of his times. He touches people. People generally are good with that.You know that Sanders Supporter politician who complained how Biden kissed her on the back of the head? Sure. Not good. But they were touchy friendly… it was her rally, Biden was supporting her and she put her arms around him on stage.
Another shot is of a woman in a restaurant who pushed her chair up to the Veep, back first, pretty well asking for some sort of contact.
Honestly, non-sexual touching isnt evil. Yes, it is no longer a thing we do. Some are uncomfortable with it. But in Bidens day it is what you did. It still is common around the USA, in areas- strangers hug, men and women shake hands. In Photos it is common to pose with your hands on a shoulder to show support.
Biden is a man in a position of power and authority. The situations shown in multiple videos were taken when the victim (yes, victim) was usually in a very public setting where it would be unseemly to turn around and slap the guy or just tell him to knock it off. So they go along with it so to not cause a scene. He has them at his advantage. They can either put up with it or blow the scene up and look bad. He has total control of the picture and they do not have any control.
It is a classic power move by a skeevy guy. Would you put up with this 'good ‘ole Uncle Joe’ shit if he were your daughter’s volleyball coach? Of course not.
The weeding out process for the many Democratic candidates has begun, to narrow the field down to a few. Good Old Uncle Joe is the first to go, and rightfully so. For a number of reasons.
