Note to self: interior studs may not be 16" on center

You’d kill to live in my house.

My wife and I are the second owners, and the house was 6 or 7 years old when we bought. All the floors, walls, and ceilings are as true as is humanly possible - I was really kinda floored by it when we first moved in. Before the furniture was in, I went around, holding levels against all the walls, the floors in the different rooms, etc., and the floors and ceilings were all level and the walls vertical. Measured the ceiling heights in the corners of the room, and the ceiling was at the same height, everywhere.

We’d moved into this house from one where the ceiling height could vary as much as 3" from one end of a wall to the other, so I knew how lucky I was. Still do.

No, I just like having the excuse that I can’t do something on the Honey-Do list because I don’t have one of those laser-level thingys.

Isn’t that what the little finish nails are for? Keeping the probe holes small?
