Stella. I dunno it just hit me.
Bertha. I was thinking about naming my Ridgeback Bertha, but it didn’t fit, and ended up with Zilla instead, which is a perfect fit because she is such a monster.
Big, Bad, Bertha. Yep.
That does have style, but when I think Bertha, I think fat, and there’s not an ounce on this girl. Her haunches are better cut than mine back when I used to run.

Whatever her name turns out to be, she looks like a great addition to the family.

It’s weird how much she looks like my new dog,Captain, except that she has a lot more jowl real estate (and is quite a bit bigger - he’s 65 pounds and HUGE, so I can’t imagine.) He is an unmitigated sweetheart who just wants to put his head in your lap and go to sleep.
