NOTHING is gonna stop this guy from mowing the lawn

It’s an impressive funnel cloud but if you look at the lawn itself, it’s already cut, and very short. Nobody mows a lawn that doesn’t need it. I think it was a photo opportunity to go viral, and they succeeded.

Nobody’s commenting on the fact that the man’s name is “Theunis”?

With that name, he probably figures, “I’ve already experienced the worst life is gonna throw at me. If the tornado gets me, it’ll be a blessing.”

So he’s neither Albertan nor Canadian… he’s a South African ex-pat. (OK, technically he’s a Canadian then…)
Anyway, the name is normal for an Afrikaans speaking person in South Africa.

Also, we don’t take crap from mere weather…

Screw the tornado, the real issue here is his poor color coordination

At a minimum he’s got gone to seed dandelions that are sticking up on the left hand side, so mowing was probably needed.

I suppose the idea that he may have just cut that section and is going around the tree is impossible?

When a tornado’s close, isn’t it usually raining, anyway? You’ll jam up your mower, trying to mow in the rain.

Caption “When mowing really sucks”

The one tornado warning we had in grade school was for a funnel forming nearby on an otherwise nice day.

From the article, someone on social media called him “The Chuck Norris of lawn mowers”…LOL

I think that’s exactly what this is. It’s a mystery why so many people would think otherwise.

They interviewed him and he said something like “Yeah, I knew there was a tornado there”. Damn few people see so many tornadoes in their life that they won’t want to stop and watch one once they’ve decided they’re not going to hide inside.

Him looking over the fence, seeing it, and deciding it wasn’t a threat I can readily believe. Him then going back to mowing versus watching & maybe taking pix I have a hard time with. Unless the guy is way out there on the single-minded autist spectrum.
