Well, to get back to the OP, it happened to me some years ago: I crossed a penguin on the road and took him to the police station. They told me " We can’t take care of a penguin. Take him to the zoo"
The next morning, the police officer saw me in the street, again with the penguin. He asked “Didn’t you took him to the zoo?” and I responded “Yes, and he liked it. Today we’re going to the fair”
