Look, Dio: I’m no fan of the Diebold machines and I’m pretty sure the Republicans (and to a lesser extent the Democrats) are engaged in electoral dirty tricks in Florida and elsewhere. But I got no proof.

They weren’t off in Florida.
Exit polls can’t account for absentee voters, nor (at least as far as I’ve heard) was exit polling done on early voters. Between them, they will account for at least 1/3 of Colorado’s votes.
As per Zogby, Bush can only have 23 more EV’s.
Am I the only one who feels like vomitting?
jayjay, no way I’d vote for Specter. He’s been shilling for Bush for far too long.
(Oh, and according to Jon Stewart, 10 percent of Illinois where tin foil hats and adult diapers).
Diogenes the Cynic, please, just chill.
Diogenes the Cynic said:
In the last election, exit polls were WILDLY off, and in the same direction. In fact, the reason the networks didn’t use exit polling this year was because it was shown to be so inaccurate in 2000.
Looks like Bunning has hung on in Kentucky - drat! I now end my evening’s Bunning fixation.
**Dio’s ** right.
Exit polls don’t lie. People polled do.
For those not playing at home, he was talking about the Keyes voters.
I go to Zogby.com and get an update from 5:00. You get anything later?
I can’t seem to reach the normal home page.
Yes. There would be a lawsuit that could drag out for some time. If they want to do it from '08 on, go ahead. It’s a sure way to make sure no one cares about that state in the future, but that’s their business, not mine.
That’s what Carl Rove was referring to. Many of the exit polls in the Gore states actually ended up going for Bush when the final numbers came in. Exit polls suck anyway. There should be a ban.
Why am I not seeing the “record turnout”?
No, they were not off. They were correct. They accurately represented the number of people who voted for Gore in Florida. Tens of thosuands of ballots were discounted or uncounted.
Fine, but if they could just rely on cheating, as you say, then why spend all the time and money in the battleground states. Just enact the cheating in ALL the close states and be done with it.
CNN has projected 193 EVs for Bush. Adding Montana (3), Alaska (3), Idaho (4), Arizona (10) and Colorado (9), which should go Bush, he’s got 222.
Florida adds 27. 249. It’s looking very bad for Kerry. Even if he wins Ohio’s 20 (an even bet at this point), he’s got an uphill battle.
THIS is what surprises me:

Scroll down. Bush won a majority of both men and women voters in the FL exit poll.
Now look at this:
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/states/OH/P/00/index.html
Kerry wins a majority of both men and women voters in the OH exit poll, yet is trailing?! Perhaps we need to wait for all votes to come in from OH? Or wonder about Republican shenanigans in OH?
Jim Dangle on Fox is giggling right now. He’s literally fucking giggling. That’s “fair and balanced” for you.
Nope. 213 to 311 is his call and he’s sticking by it.
Look at Cuyahoga county.
