I drive a del Sol and have always been a fan of the Firestone rain tires, precisely because that’s exactly what they use on the Indy cars. I may look into these Goodyears you speak of.
Great race, eh?
Oh, and yeah. At least 50% of drivers are either morons, on the phone, or batshit insane. Especially in Florida when it rains.
21 feet of snow so far this year. Weather looks like another 5-12 inches by this weekend. I’ll have to plow.
Frankly, I surprised there are not more accidents. Oh, I see bad drivers, mostly tourists. That’s OK. I wait for a safe spot and pass them.
IMHO. Nokian makes the best snow and ice tires. Provided the snow isn’t too deep. The Nokian’s are on my Wifes Jeep.
I get home first and often have to plow.
I run BFG AT’s on my daily driver. They are better in deep snow. They can actually dig a bit (not the BFG rugged trails that came with the vehicle [whom ever designed that tire/tread should be publicly ridiculed).
I should probably start a thread about deep snow and ice driving.
