Damn, when your last name is “Ford” and you stride the world like the wealthy giant you are, and when some namby-pamby woman can get you fired after the leader of the free world grabs her pussy because he’s a star and they just let you do it…well, something’s wrong with that.
Am I being wooshed, here? Ford’s family is connected in Memphis and Tennessee and he’s certainly done well for himself. But he’s not a part of the ultrawealthy Ford family of the automaker group.
He’s the black guy who lost the Senate race a few years ago.
Also, this is the actions of a private company, even though Ford is an ex-political guy. As noted, he was a regular on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, as was Mark Halperin.
Beware of my heroes for sure. As I’ve posted in other threads I’ve long believed his loss to Bob Corker in 2006 was what prevented the Democrats from passing truly great legislation in 2009 and 2010. Had he won I’m sure he would now be on the same path out that Conyers and Franken were recently on. And I would support his ouster just as much despite his being from a red state. I’m not going to stand behind these guys just for political convenience.
