Speaking as someone who lives in the neighborhood (less than 6 miles away from the ranch), I’d like to tell you that this is NOT an *accepted cultural practice * in central Arizona or any other part of the state.
If it was, there would be no story. Nobody would have been arrested, dawgs and pigs would have been left alone.

I really don’t care what bigots like you yourself think of me. My neighborhood is pretty devoid of bigots like you and of bigoted laws as well, so I don’t have to wory about violent discriminatory practices by either the state or civillians.
Let me try again. You don’t seem to understand. Animal cruelty *is * against the law in Arizona. Pit fighting *is not * an “accepted cultural practice”. The reason this case garnered national attention is because people were arrested AND because people are shocked about the cruelty.
This would have been a non-event if pit fighting was an accepted cultural practice in Arizona.
