Preppie killer’s release stirs emotions
I hope he lasts just long enough to be entertaining to those that bring final Justice to him.

Um, although I think that it sucks for the family, that’s a copyrighted article you’ve just quoted in this entirety. http://www.wnbc.com/news/1945792/detail.html
If you look on the bottom of this page you’ll see this quote: “Copyright 2003 by The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.”
He was convicted of a crime and served the maximum sentence for the crime he was convicted of. We leave punishment up to the state because of the hope that it can be objective. I have sympathy for the Levins…they must be going through a very hard time right now, and I hope they can find peace. But any suggestion of vigilante actions against Mr. Chambers is not justice. It’s revenge, and its wrong.
Where to start…
First off, which of these statements are from CNN and which are yours? The whole thing reads like a news story save for the last line.
I’m not sure what you mean by final Justice with a capital J? Vigilantism? Divine retribution? I happen to think the killing was a little less accidental than his story would indicate, and he should not be free. But he served the full term the law allows. He isn’t escaping from prison on the 14th, we, as a society, are setting him free. If the law isn’t a good one, it should be changed. I can’t see advocating mob justice.
Any discussion between Chambers and St. Peter, or whoever is manning the gates, isn’t for me to judge.

And then people like this guy walk free.

He didn’t “walk free”. He served 15 years in prison and then was released after completing his sentence. That’s what’s supposed to happen.
I’m praying that he is overwhelmed by a guilty conscience, and despondant, hangs himself with an extension cord; or perhaps, not even taking time to write a note, he throws himself from a high place (there are many in NY.)
But then he won’t ever get a chance to write a book, so we may never know if his victim begged for her life. We may never know if she cried out for God to save her.
The victim continues to serve her death sentence. He’s done his time, so he walks.
Are you unclear on the concept of sentencing?
You’re praying? And invoking God? Maybe you could write a clever Jack Chick tract.
Mothchunks, you’re in the wrong country if you think your concept of justice is the way to handle things. There are plenty of places out there that think the way you do.
And if she DID cry out for god to save her, and he didn’t…what then?
I believe that the majority of sentenced rapists/killers/abusers give up their rights to profit from authoring a book.
And wishing for someone to commit suicide is horrific. If he was repentant and repulsed by his past actions, wouldn’t you rather he got therapy and was rehabilitated?
