Ya know, if the bone spur dodge didn’t work out, chances are Trump could have wound up as your next door neighbor.
I’m pretty demure about politics in public.
I had a friend who would get out of his car to go confront Trump supporters. He did not make it comfortable for them even though his was the minority opinion.
I miss him.
I saw this quote in a NYT story about renaming reactions from New York Staters who live near the lake. (Sorry, no gift link)
David Hedley, 64, is the fourth-generation owner of Hedley Boatyard in Olcott on the shores of the Great Lake.
[…]
His great-grandfather started the family business in 1900 — and Mr. Hedley said he would not be incorporating the lake’s new name into any business dealings.“Next they’ll be calling Canada geese ‘Donald ducks,’” he said.
[Bolding mine]
I just liked the part about ‘Donald Ducks’ and wanted to share. Has anyone else suggested this line?
I got a meme from my mother-in-law about the same thing, so it’s going around.
I highly approve of this. Canada geese are famous for being obnoxious and shitting all over everything. I dislike the name “Canada” being associated with them, and “Donald ducks” is absolutely perfect! Let the renaming continue! I really want to see this formalized!
Trump, for one.
From today’s news:
From the item:
Coincidentally, there just so happens to be a by-election happening in a few days where this populist a_hole had this sign erected. He would never miss an opportunity to hike his fat ass somewhere where he could be noticed as being “one of the common folk". If not for that he’d have been nowhere near the area, but more likely enjoying his luxury summer home in Muskoka.
Check Ford’s history. He was an avid supported of Trump up until the time it became horrendously unpopular to be.
