Now that Elon Musk has bought Twitter - now the Pit edition (Part 1)

Kyle Rittenhouse tweeted that the Yes voters were bots, and the real majority was the No.

ahh - trumpian logic.

Let’s see what Elmo does now. I mean, it will be whatever he always intended to do, but I’m curious how he handles it.

BTW, Elmo is currently halfway across the Atlantic coming back from Dubai, altitude 41,000 ft, heading 290.2. I imagine we’ll be hearing from him soon.

I guess when you’re a multibillionaire, the rules don’t apply to you. There are photos of Elmo drinking wine at the World Cup finals.

What makes you think most of the voters were his devoted followers?

I voted for him to step down, but what I really wanted to do was vote for him to log off.

As a holder of a decent chunk of Tesla stock, I’d be fine if he stepped down from that one, too. SpaceX can have him.

I hope he doesn’t step down. Watching him self destruct Twitter and his fortune is awesome.

It’s the supporters that are the ones to watch. Reading comments by condescending fans that find it “amusing” that the commoners think they can understand Musk’s next-level moves, it’s clear many believe the moral of “The Emperor’s New Clothes” is that someone should have strangled that little brat that said he was naked.

HA! A long time ago, that was author David Gerrold’s take on the fable (except he just suggested giving the kid a cookie, not killing him, But still!)

I thought he interpreted it as a fable of understanding wonderment (basically, in support of Scifi). I don’t think I got it until now, Except, that makes Gerrold a “fanboy” of fake leaders. Oh well - I never liked his writing anyway.

Efforts are underway to rename this the Musk Effect.

Should be a subvariant of the Streisand effect where what you are trying to hide stinks to high heaven.

You can say it has a… musk.

Remember, the elonjet thing can only track the plane; not where he actually is. So when it says “in the last 24 hours he flew from San Jose to the UK then from the UK to Qatar”, it may be that the plane flew those routes without him on it.

Oh hey, there must be bots in the poll, we should only let people who bought blue checks vote.

Dave Itzkoff always finds the right Simpsons shot.

Ken Klip also had a good response:

I see from the tracking info that Elmo is back from Qatar, and just landed about half an hour ago. Interestingly, he went to Austin, not California. It’s almost as if he’s losing interest in Twitter and is back to focusing on Tesla and SpaceX, but who knows why he’s in Austin.
