Now that Elon Musk has bought Twitter - now the Pit edition (Part 1)

Nitpick: Kaye.

My grandmother went to high school with Danny Kaye. He was a couple of years older so he probably didn’t know her, but she knew him, because “Everybody knew Danny Kaminsky. He was the funniest kid in school.”

That’s cool! And I have no doubt he was the funniest kid in her school. He just seems to have a natural talent for comedy.

The guest host on the daily show last night had an entire segment on leaving Twitter. And then he did it. A little theatrical for me, but I liked the idea. [Jon Stewart would have nailed it]

Hassan Minaj? I watched his first night and thought he was a lot more clumsy than I expected, as he’d actually worked on The Daily Show. Surprisingly, the guest host who made me laugh the most so far was Chelsea Handler. Generally, I’m not a fan of hers.

Yes, he was okay. No major complaitns. I do like that he took on “us” for not quitting and saying things like the whole “discourse” and “town square” defense of Twitter is pure bunk.

Here’s an article about it

I should quit Twitter. I never use the damn thing anyway.

WSOAIT?

Better to just leave your account open and not use it. Let Elon wallow in the fantasy of monetizing you.

Agile alerts!

I think we need something like a swear jar for “agile” jokes now.

Wonders if agile will be a future wordle…

Musk refused to pay AWS bills until Amazon was like, fine, we just won’t advertise on Twitter until you do.

I think it would have been more fun (and vastly more persuasive) if AWS just switched off all of Twitter’s virts.

AWS: Nice soivice you had dere Elmo. Shame something happened to it. Pay up today or you’ll never see it alive again.

Hmm, well then I guess I’ve been an activist for a while now.

Isn’t that how most people use twitter? Check the 4-12 journalists/whatever you follow, sometimes, if you think of it at all?

OK, maybe just me.

An inactivist?

I never tweet and only occasionally retweet or like a post. I use Twitter mainly to follow a handful of content creators I enjoy and people who post politics news. I have Elmo blocked, I block all sponsors or anyone with a gold checkmark, as well as anyone who paid for a blue checkmark.

I exclusively use the site in a way that costs Elmo money.

Also, remember when last week he said that this week Twitter’s algorithm would be open source. It is almost like Musk lies a lot.

Agile truth telling!

Elmo didn’t become one of the richest people in the world by sharing anything!
