Now that Elon Musk has bought Twitter - now the Pit edition (Part 1)

“heh heh heh heh. Get it? It’s like Hairy Balls! Heh heh heh heh”

Has Musk’s brain been replaced by a 10 year olds?

“Replaced”?

Has he ever shown he possessed a greater level of emotional maturity?

Some odd news: Twitter (the company) no longer exists. It’s now X Corp.

I, for one, am looking forward to the next batch of Musk is a (misunderstood) genius posts.

I imagine he’s going to tweet a picture of him mooning to everyone on twitter, with a note “Heh heh heh, I made you look at my bum!”

It’s not even trolling. It’s just a mental breakdown.

He’s just an absolute idiot. I don’t care if he’s good at narrowly scoped nerd shit like shooting rockets or optimizing someone else’s electric car company.

If you cannot restrain yourself from lighting $44 billion on fire just to make a few trolly jokes to please a bunch of basement-dwelling 4-chan chuds, then you’re not a misunderstood genius, you’re just a rich guy who happened to be good at one particular hobby.

Furthermore, like most conservatives, he has the media literacy of a child. Outside of a brief list of who are his friends and foes, and a few narrow technical fields that relate to his business, he has absolutely no capacity to evaluate the reliability of new information. But most consequentially he thinks he’s the smartest guy in the world, so nobody can tell him when he’s stepped in it.

We don’t owe all that rent and fines and stuff. That was Twitter. We’re X Corp now! The X stands for ‘unknown variable’!

X has been Musk’s dream for a long time. Way back at PayPal, for which he was ousted because he was going to wreck the company. He wants X to be the everything app, which back in the PayPal days mainly meant an online bank. Of course, these days every bank is online sooooo… but hey this is a guy who reinvented the subway but worse and managed to convince a city to build it, so who knows? Personally, I hope he builds it, and it is, in fact, the harbinger of his (financial) doom. I don’t think he really understand the scrutiny he’ll be under as a bank.

Yeah, I have accounts at five different financial institutions, and they’re all online and have been for years – even my clunky ol’ credit union which just last month finally converted my debit card to a chip card.

If he did it wasn’t for too long, I just checked and his regular name is on Twitter right now.

I don’t claim to know much about autism, but a friend of mine with an autistic son says he sees this behavior, and it really helps to have someone around to remind his son “you’re being weird again.” Per this friend, that helps his son to do a little reflection on whether what he’s saying is going to be well received by the audience. This guy’s view is that Musk just doesn’t have anyone around to ground him and remind him he’s “being weird again”

Since some people put lots of stock in what other people have to say about Musk, and in particular ex-employees.

No need to appeal to autism.

It’s sufficient merely to be wealthy and then it is not surprising how reticent the people around you become to contradicting you or offering even the slightest criticism. Especially in the cases where you are known to engage in acts of retaliation, including firing employees. That leaves family, and one of his own children has already publicly rebuked/renounced him to no effect.

We once euphemistically called this sort of behavior ‘eccentricity’ when applied to the wealthy, so it is not exactly a new phenomenon

For the record, I wasn’t defending him, nor making excuses. Just relaying an anecdote.

I think he’s a tool.

An uncool fool of a tool.

Doesn’t X stand for “Christ”?

“X Corp” translates to “Body of Christ”.

Maybe Elon has been born again.

He Is Risen!

He is risible!

lol, you win!
