Now that Elon Musk has bought Twitter - now the Pit edition (Part 1)

LOL GET IT YOU GUYS IT’S THE WEED NUMBER AREN’T I SO CLEVER

Agile blasphemy.

Bong gurgling sound

Dude! When it gets close to 4/20 he can postpone the deadline to 6/9! Funny sex number HAHAHAHAHA

He is risen indeed!

Good gawd. That joke was old twenty years ago.

Heh heh heh heh heh heh. You said weed!

I wouldn’t have thought this thread could go more downhill … and yet here we are. And I’m happy to join you!

Yep. I saw it myself. I shook my head, shrugged, and closed the tab, just like every other time I check what he’s saying.

4/20 is Also Adolph Hitler’s Birthday (I know that because it’s mine, too).

Just sayin’

Elmo is now globally blocking tweets critical of the government of India.

Elmo says he lives on a couch in a seventh-floor library in Twitter HQ and that his dog is now CEO.

He’s really gone full Caligula.

Nyah, just full Mr. Burns.

(The Simpsons - C.E. D'OH - Mr. Burns (Canary M. Burns) - YouTube)

At least no one can claim that he did this for free speech anymore. That has clearly been exposed as a lie.

That’s silly.

Elmo has never been freer to say any damn thing he wants.

Oh, for his users? Screw them. It was never about their freedom of speech.

NPR will no longer post content on Twitter, following their “state-affiliated media” label.

Pansy-ass liberal NPR, I mean NPR is exactly like RussiaToday, and the information is just as reliable, amiright?

Our local affiliate, WBUR, is following suit. I hope other NPR affiliates do the same and other media companies follow. I would love nothing more than for this to be the start of a mass Twitter exodus.

I don’t think my local NPR station is leaving unfortunately. This is their statement.

If they were leaving I think they’d say so.

I support them leaving. I am weaning myself off.

I’m hoping I can be off by 420. It feels ridiculous to be addicted to a website. But I’m also addicted to this place, so there’s that.

WUNC seems to be t(w)eeting happily. I don’t know if they talked about it this morning, because I couldn’t get my Nest to stream properly (there’s a known Google-related outage). >:(
