Well, yes for certain values of available. But you’d get about an hour of my time for those prices. After all, I’m not a newborn any more.
Hey, I’m no dummy. I’m not paying more for a high-mileage baby.
Maybe the prices drop when they go past the infant/toddler stages.
That video got 217M views on YT. His most expensive video cost $3.5M to make but has 565M views. He runs a company with 250 employees just to pull his videos off. $250,000 is rather small potatoes to him.
Ok, you don’t want a baby that knows what it’s doing? That’s your problem, buddy! I’d like you to find another baby that can do software development, Unix administration, light musical arrangement, is apparently by most accounts a really charming person for a technical worker, could potentially seduce your significant other, and can troubleshoot both carbureted and fuel injected engines.
Yeah, you’re not getting me for anything less than $1236/hr. You don’t appreciate good, well seasoned baby that’s been aged for decades in a primarily nitrogen atmosphere.
I mean, just look at that patina! No refinishing there.
And also not one single crusted over scab. They are all freshly picked and weeping.
Yeah, but they itch. Sometimes you just gotta pick at them.
(And really, the name’s from a song that I don’t think is about me. It’s more of a habit at this point.)
Plus: Patina!
Somehow I’ve made it till now to hear of mrbeast. I had no idea this sort of thing existed on YT. Maybe someday he’ll show up in my YT recommended and I’ll take a look at what all the fuss is about.
I blocked him ages ago. Yay, I missed all the fuss.
My first convergence with this fine individual was when his video started popping up in my timeline repeatedly on Xitter, and after a few times I blocked it like any other advertisement. I am unsurprised to read claims that the signal was boosted.
Until he starts making guitar/bass, woodworking or cycling videos, I’m probably safe from ever seeing one his videos show up.
Don’t do twitter so will avoid him there too.
The only thing that might make me envy your ignorance being bliss more is if you said you had no idea who PewDiePie is.
Hmm, I’m not usually proud of being ignorant, but I only have the vaguest idea of who either of them are.
That goes about as far as: Two guys that are apparently popular on the internet. I believe one is mostly on YouTube, not really sure about the other.
I’ve heard that name…was there a controversy about them? Beyond that, I’m like @scabpicker
Huh? I have no idea.
Something tells me I should not find out.
I see Mr. Beast’s face every time I go into a 7-11 as they always seem to be hawking his chocolate bars at the register. I seem to remember him doing “Beast burgers” or something during the pandemic? It was like a virtual kitchen? That was the first I’ve heard of him, and I’ve seem more than I need to of him since then. I don’t think he’s a bad guy; I’m just not interested in most of the extremly expensive stunts he pulls. He does seem to be genuinely nice and he gives away a lot of money, so there’s worse things to be.
Now Pewdiepie I know next to nothing about, other that he exists and was like the most viewed social media person five/ten years ago. Maybe still. I don’t know. I don’t even know what he looks like, and his stuff has never come across any of my feeds, to my knowledge. He’s like Godot to me. But he’s the first person I remember reading about years ago and being like “you can make HOW MUCH money on Youtube?” (this was pre TikTok, from what I remember.)
I know its the pit, but, well, that was just mean! Goes off to sulk…
The first time I heard of him was a couple months ago, specifically because that venture apparently failed spectacularly and he was suing the ghost kitchens who’d been contracted to make them.
Estragon: Let’s go!
Vladimir: We can’t.
Estragon: Why not?
Vladimir: We’re waiting for @Buck_Godot to stop sulking.
Estragon: Ah!
I was going to post the same thing. I mean, I know I can look up who he is, but how does everyone else seem to be in the know?
