If you enjoyed that, Adam Something has also done some great dissections of Elmo’s hyperloop projects and why it would be a much better idea to just build a railroad.
I’m not entirely sure he really assumed it. I suspect he was suspicious of Musk. For Lemon, either reaction was a win. He either shows gets his independence on Twitter, or he calls Musk on his bluff and goes somewhere else, but now with a juicy episode to get people to check it out.
I didn’t think it was possible to make that vehicle more unsightly than it already is, but here we are.
“Do not wash your cybertruck in direct sunlight because it can stain your car.”
Wow.
That’s a fantastic video, schadenfreude-wise – what a hoot! Thanks for posting!
Yes, “assumption” was a poor word choice on my part. It was really more of a challenge of whether Musk really meant what he said about free speech absolutism.
I finally had some time to watch the full video Musk comes across as really uncomfortable and nervous, and as though he is not not actually used to talking with people. I think Lemon did a good job, although I wish he’d spent less time asking about the ketamine (yes Musk probably takes way too much, no he’s no going to admit it in the interview) and more time on the notion that community response is the best way to deal with misinformation.
In particular Lemon kept on supporting his arguments with studies which Musk would dismiss with “well you can find studies that say anything.” I would have liked him to ask, well without objective studies how do you propose to separate facts from B.S. As a head of a major engineering company do you really not believe in the scientific method? If you are going to rely on the market place of ideas is truth going to be left up to majority rule? If you get 10 posters who say the holocaust didn’t happen to every one who says it did does that mean it’s fiction?
All social media sites have struggled, but X’s daily usage has dropped over 20% since Nov 2022.
Chart from article: the black line is the X line.
Animals could be bred … and slaughtered! Mein Führer!!
He’s channeling Dr. Strangelove.
Like @Smapti mentioned, Adam Something has an entire playlist dunking on Elmo going back years, much to the disappointment of @Sam_Stone who thinks lefties have only turned on Elmo for not being “of the body”.
Covers Mars Colony, Hyperloop, the Boring Company, Starship Earth to Earth, you name it.
lol
In recent days, Musk has urged his 177 million followers on X to get more people onto the platform. On Sunday, he posted instructions for how to share posts with friends, a basic function of social media.
“Please send links from this platform to your friends who are still being misled by the legacy media!” he wrote in a separate post Sunday.
So when Elmo says that Xitter use is at an all-time high and the number of users is growing fast, he’s lying to us?
Actually, everything about Elmo is so bizarre that it’s entirely possible that his minions, fearing for their jobs, are giving him falsified information to keep him happy. They might even have given him that exact chart, only turned upside down!
Or added an upward-curving usage line at the end with a Sharpie (an observation which has apparently already happened twice in this thread in past years (!) but was too good to pass up.)
"Congratulations. Your Cybertruck has a butthole now " was my fave.
Elmo, a skinflint who never donates money to anything, is funding the legal defense of an anti-vax lunatic who’s not even in the same country! …
Redditor complains that his Tesla is making it harder to cheat on his wife, indicating that Elmo’s divorcedness is contagious.
I was like, are we 100% sure that is about cheating on your spouse? And then I looked at the subReddit.
“…in case you’re hoping to turn up the temperature in the back seat.”
Some people sure are clever.
Yes, these cars are making it harder to cheat, but it also makes it easy for husbands to stalk their soon-to-be divorced wives. Not defending the cheaters, but the stalkers need to be stopped. And not unique to Teslas. Lotsa cars have apps now.
It can also be a digital leash for controlling spouses.
Just say no. Can it be switched off?
