We’re rapidly approaching the point of needing to consult a magic 8-ball to determine Elmo’s views on AI on a daily basis.
Pretty sure cocaine isn’t one of Musk’s drugs, but okay.
Magic 8-ball it is then!
‘Ahem, Magic 8-ball X-ball.’ ~ Elmo
have you seen what McD charges for a big-mac meal, recently???
not disputing the claim, but if you read this article, it seems a lot refers to events in 2017/18/19 … so, the article is - from a news POV - a non-starter
He’s gotten better? Based on his recent actions? Statements? Demands?
I’m a gonna need a doctor’s note.

Which one is the bigger narcissist, the one on the right or the one on the left? Insert The Office “It’s the same picture” meme.
Elmo and The Don - a horror story from the depths of Hell, Hate and Fear.
Organizing billionaires to back the Con and freeze out Biden/Democrats because they don’t already control enough money.
From in the bowels of the story. "…His politics publicly shifted in May 2022, when he tweeted he would vote Republican because Democrats had “become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them.”
Bolding mine. Elmo must have been on some potent muskrooms when he did that. Surely a different plane of existence or tripping through a bizarro world where every day is opposite day.
IIRC, he tweeted that out the day before the horse-for-handjob story broke, because he (rightly) presumed that Republicans don’t care if you’re a rapist, pervert, or general deviant anymore.
I’m thinking he can be appointed to lead the United States Commission on Civil Rights.
But he’d probably hold out for SEC Commissioner
He wants to make sure trump will make it legal for someone not born in America to be president.
The very thought that Elmo could be appointed to an actual official position with the United States government fills me with existential dread.
But then I think about the fact that Musk, much like Trump himself, is a raging narcissist. And also much like Trump, I don’t think musk would ever accept anything less than the presidency. Simply because I think he is mentally incapable of taking orders from somebody else. And anywhere else he could land in the government he would see as a middle management position. He’s actually wielding far more power now than he would if that were to happen. And of course musk can’t win the presidency without a constitutional amendment first. Which ain’t happening right now.
I think Musk is the kind of narcissist who would accept that position based on the unspoken but absolute belief that he’s much smarter than Trump (or anyone, really) and that he would be able to do whatever he wanted and run circles around the moron at “the top.” And indeed, as much as I think Musk is a blithering jackass, in the specific case of Trump the belief would be essentially correct.
While I think Musk would enjoy the power fantasy, and like Trump, keep breaking things because they aren’t done his way, I think he’d be so insulted by how little money is there for his august presence. And that the shit that has already gotten him into so much trouble with the SEC would be many times worse as a formal government employee.
Granted though, if this is in a new Trump administration, everyone who doesn’t sign a loyalty oath in blood is going to be purged, so said rules (even as loosely enforced as they are) are likely to be an afterthought.
How do you expect a universe-wide genius to profit if he can’t sell stock based on inside information. Besides, just $3 billion extra profit - “What is that, one banana?” That conduct is only illegal in a “technical” sense and doesn’t apply to the mega-rich. /s
"The lawsuit, filed by Tesla investor Michael Perry, alleges Musk had nonpublic information about Tesla falling short on fourth-quarter deliveries and production when he sold approximately $7,530,113,926 of company stock in November and December 2022.
Had Musk waited to make the selloff after the public announcement of the delivery miss, the sales would have netted him less than 55% of what he actually realized, the lawsuit said.
Musk allegedly profited about $3 billion from the November and December sales, according to the lawsuit, which cited Tesla’s Jan. 3, 2023, closing price of $108.10 per share."
