Now that Elon Musk has bought Twitter - now the Pit edition (Part 1)

I’m aware of that. I’m also aware of how black people have traditionally been depicted in Japanese art. It’s not very flattering. That Elon chose this particular piece of his to compare to himself is telling.

black and brown people :heavy_check_mark:
with their hands up :heavy_check_mark:
being gunned down :x:
white soldiers :heavy_check_mark:

It’s certainly implied.

Learn the difference between imply and infer!

You’re just splitting hairs at this point. It’s clearly a depiction of white men with guns preventing black and brown people from getting on a spaceship departing a doomed world. Considering the way that Elon talks about there being a population decline and humanity being in existential threat specifically because white people aren’t having enough babies and fantasizing about spreading his seed across the human population like a new Genghis Khan, it clearly indicates his approval of the concept.

I thought it was a clear depiction of ‘white men with guns preventing black and brown people from getting on a spaceship departing a doomed world by gunning them down’.
Maybe you’d like to draw that part in yourself… I hear Sharpies are the best for that.

So just to make sure we’re clear, if I strike the “gunning them down” from my original statement, you’re 100% in agreement with it, correct?

This,

wasn’t clear enough?

And what is Noah known for? Saving his own kind and leaving the rest of humanity to drown. Very on-brand for Elon.

I can’t tell for sure what race the armed guards are supposed to be, but with that caveat and the removal of the “gunning them down” inference, I agree.

Looks to me like the desperate crowds of humans are raising their hands in imploring pleas to be allowed onto the spaceship, and the guards are holding them off at gunpoint, but no shooting is happening.

(If there were shooting, how long would three armed guards really be able to hold back a crowd of hundreds of desperate people, anyway? Even if the front of the crowd didn’t want to rush the guns, the back of the crowd would probably be pushing them.)

Left out being God’s, hand picked, anointed, vessel to get that job done.

The other implications of the painting take a back seat to Musk’s clear, bat-shit crazy, delusions of grandeur.
One might wonder what Christians think about Musk comparing himself to Noah.
I guess the only follow up is Moses and then declaring himself to be the Second Coming.

Follow-up on looking at a better reproduction of that painting:

  • There are more than three of the armed guards, duh.

  • On reflection, I don’t think all of the people in the abandoned crowd are non-white. Some of them seem to have blond hair.

They’re gay.

The don’t seem happy at all, rather they seem quite put out by the whole situation.

The emerald mine wasn’t in South Africa. Zambia didn’t run on apartheid slave labour in the 70s.

Or is that also splitting hairs?

He thinks whites aren’t procreating enough? He must be pissed at Nick Cannon.

Following up on this:

Because hey, check it out:

A cavalier approach to technology development corresponds to a cavalier approach to animal testing? You don’t say!

Here’s the original Reuters article

Naah, Elon can’t be the Second Coming. Trump’s already claimed that role for himself and many US “Christians” seem fine with it.

We should be doing everything possible to encourage Noah Musk to leave Earth and settle on Mars. He could probably round up a volunteer harem and populate the joint. Bon voyage, little man, bon voyage.
