Now that Elon Musk has bought Twitter - now the Pit edition (Part 2)

In a turn of events that shocked noone, SpaceX says it won’t be going to Mars this year after all.

Well duh, that’s because they already established a colony on Mars back in 2021 just like Elmo said he would.

But next year for sure!

That article is 25 years old. And was funny then.

Sadly, DJT is pretty much proof that the South has already risen now. And boy is it mad!

And once again reality demonstrates that it’s impossible to write satire that stays satirical as the clown car takes over the world.

I wonder which Heinlein character he fancies himself.

Visually, I’d vote for the two-headed, one-body twins. All by himself. But character-wise, he’s surely Scudder. Probably thinks so, too.

Which Elon may shrug off, but we can always hope that the investigation produces lots of information heretofore hidden.

It’s likely that Elon plans to spend millions later this year to influence the midterms; he doesn’t want Donald removed (via impeachment) any more than Donald does. If Donald were to be removed and a Democratic-dominated Congress free to launch investigations, investigations of “DOGE” would surely not end in a way that would please Elon.

Does “self growing” mean the buildings will grow themselves, like those crystal gardens you grew as a kid? Or is he referring to population, as in the city will grow through procreation of its perfect white specimens with no impure immigrants allowed.

Don’t worry, I already know the answer.

So, Elon, which Earth cities are NOT “self-growing,” anyway???

Hugh Farnham, fighting back against the dark-skinned hordes trying to enslave the good white people of the world.

Of course all these speculations rest on the idea that Donald is familiar with the works of Heinlein, or even understands the concept of “identifying with a fictional character.” He’s probably be outraged: ‘why would I identify with anyone other than MYSELF, my own glorious self?!!?!?!?!?’

(Farnham is a good pick in the sense of being a smug man who ‘knows’ that black people are inherently duplicitous, not to mention cannibalistic. But of course his IQ is over 100, so: no.)

We’re talking about musk, not trump.

musk probably has read Heinlein. It’s unlikely trump has ever read anything other than the menu at McDonalds. And then only once.

He was who I had in mind with my comment, yeah.

OH, of course. Big oops on my part. (In my first answer I did know it was about Elon, but somehow I got derailed.)

For Musk, I still say he would think Scudder is a great guy with a great story. Large and in charge!

It’s pretty obviously Delos D. Harriman. He isn’t in any way up to the job, but I’m pretty sure that’s who he is modeling himself after.

Yeah really, his thing seems to be how can I own a world… I mean the “self growing city” part sounds like out of The Moon is a Harsh Mistress but he is more likely to lead the organization they rise against.

In any case as I said in another thread, Reality is harsh too.

Reminds me of that time a British radio presenter insisted that concrete could be grown. Oh how we laughed.
