Has anyone ever pointed out that absolute monopolistic company-town capitalism and a communist command economy become virtually identical at a sufficiently high level of exploitation?
No, they’re completely different! Under a communist command economy, man exploits man. Under an absolute monopolistic company-town capitalism, it’s the other way around.
Who is “she” in that “discussion”?
The editor of the Economist who dared to question him in the interview he did with her.
No, that crash out was about Anne Hathaway.
Now Elon, still smarting from the Economist conflict, is attacking World Central Kitchen head Jose Andres:
Many have noted that Andres has a reputation for being one of the world’s best people, While Elon…
Give Elon my banking info? Where do I sign up?! ![]()
So much losing …
Give him a couple of months, after this imlpodes, to regret it, like it took him a couple of months to express “misgivings” about DOGE.
The utterly dreadful thing about that Economist interview was his ghastly little grin when she asked him about the children he killed when he canceled the USAID funding. I don’t think he believes that nobody died. I think he believes that no white people died, so he’s fine with it. :shudder:
Society cannot heal while people like him hold so much power.
I’m certain that’s the case. Elmo is an irredeemable bigot right down to the core.
I was answering some security questions today with one of my financial providers and they asked what my primary banking institution was. It might have been interesting if I had responded, “oh, it’s ‘X’!” I do all my banking with “X”! Elmo has all my money, and life couldn’t be better! ![]()
Isn’t that just PayPal?
Oh wait… PayPal wasn’t fully controlled by Musk, he was just part of the project (his original X.com), and was replaced at one point. That’s probably why it works and has been successful for decades.
I’m sure the owners of x.money will be more than happy to take on the many confused new customers who go there looking for Musk’s grift.
Good summary, including of the Turner Diaries thing, and of the human cost of USAID’s near-elimination.
(It’s a NY Times gift article: Opinion - Jamelle Bouie -Why Do We Tolerate Elon Musk’s Racist Commentary?)
Looks like another one of Elon’s kids has turned on him.
This one must hurt, since it’s the only kid Elmo has actually ever cared about.
He seemed to be pretty fond of little Kevlar (or whoever that was he always had perched on his shoulders during the DOGE crap).
A Virginia startup has launched a new social network called Twitter and is arguing that Elon abandoned the trademark.
