Twitter has fallen to #6 for social media apps on the Google Play store - putting it behind Bluesky, Facebook, Threads, Instagram, and something called “MILF Messenger”.
That’s not a real screen shot. There has been a longstanding meme joke involving the editing of that nonexistent app into social media lists.

OTOH, if you go to the Google app store and search for “MILF Messenger” it gets the idea you want a non-mainstream dating / hookup app.
There was a lot more variety there than I expected. Hmm, perhaps I should investigate further. 
Good bet the Apple app store will respond similarly.

Bluesky has seen an absolute flood of X trolls signing up to accounts and just posting “There are only two genders” in the past few days. They seem to expect to be immediately banned, but most people are just blocking them individually. And blocking actually works on Bluesky.
They’re also pushing the “Bluesky is just an echo chamber! They don’t want any opposing voices!” narrative. Which is 1) rich, coming from those buried deep in the right-wing propaganda bubble, and 2) I don’t have to taste all my household cleaning products to know they’re bad for me - some things are self-evidently toxic.
I’ve seen it suggested that Elon himself is driving this, but I’m not going back to X to check.
There is very much a mood of “don’t react, just block”. Not everyone is doing it, but more than I was used to on Xitter.
I created a Bluesky account just now because I wanted to stick it to Musk.
As soon as I finished, the first thing I saw was a post from George Takei about not giving up despite Trump’s win and not being scared of MAGA. That’s kind of awesome.

Those starter packs are helping me get a few followers. I have almost 50 already. I think it took me a few years to get to that number on twitter.
Elon isn’t on there yet. I hope he stays away out of embarrassment.

That occurred to me later too. As long as the troll management approach holds out this is another Xitter own goal.
I guess people aren’t fleeing Twitter fast enough for Elmo’s tastes, because now he’s encouraging harassment campaigns against government employees with accounts.
Why am I not surprised? Disgusted, yeh, but totally unsurprised.
