Now that Elon Musk has bought Twitter - now the Pit edition (Part 2)

As I said in several previous posts, Chesterton’s Fence is going to get a lot of play in the next few years.

Hey, it’s tough running THREE countries (USA, UK and Germany) at once!

Kind of sad that in this timeline even our Bond villain is a cross with Beevis.

Cornholio Vanderbilt

Whether that’s your work or someone else’s, that is genius; pure genius.

Blecchs Luthor…?

Thank you, and it is the product of my fucked up mind.

I looked up the term on Google to make sure I wasn’t subconsciously stealing it from someone else but came up empty, so I only have myself to blame.

Now hear this, now hear this …

In honor of the esteemed @Atamasama and his incomparable spontaneous creativity I hereby suggest that all future references to musk not use the term “Elmo”, but rather “Cornholio Vanderbilt.”

That is all. [click].

Yep. That’s a keeper.

(to student): Are you threatening me?

Hey, douchebag, that’s the purpose of the thread.

How about getting over your fanboy obsession for maybe the 5 seconds it takes to learn how to accept completely meaningless (almost literally the sobriquet has no real meaning) mockery as the innocuous non-entity that it is?

If somebody that rich or his horde of delusional zealots are so absolutely thin-skinned and oblivious that something as innocuous as “Cornholio Vanderbilt” sets them off rather than the serious psychological imbalance implied by caring what a bunch of internet rando’s think, they should search for a mirror to discover the actual problem.

Oh, wait, you aren’t suggesting that Cornelius Vanderbilt wasn’t white.
Hey fuckwit? Elon is not, by any use, an African American. He’s a South African-American.
Because words have fucking usages.

Is post this parody role play? Its a joke…right?

No - Elmo has a clear connection to Elon (who is a muppet (per my understanding of British slang)), and Cornholio Vanderbilt could be any of the large number of asshole billionaires. Now, using it as a generic for asshole billionaire I can get behind.

I’m not afraid of Elmo Husk.

And if you are seriously calling Cornholio Bunghusk “African American”, then I guess Steve Nash (born in South Africa) is, too. He did play professional basketball, so it must be a true descriptor?

This is on par with saying Arabs can’t be anti-Semitic or something being ‘decimated’ is reduced by 10%. Historic usage of words does not trump current meanings/understandings, ignoring Humpty Dumpty (in my memory, the word usage quote is from one of the Queens, so I’m glad I couldn’t remember which one and looked it up).

Wow, Adrian Dittmann has joined the Dope!

Yeah, I was thinking perhaps that. But not nearly enough insults towards posters or hagiography of Musk.

Sadly there is no shortage of rather dim-witted Elon stans all over the internet. I’m more surprised we’ve run into so few of them so far.

“African Canadian”?
