Now that Elon Musk has bought Twitter - now the Pit edition (Part 2)

Oh, well, at least the link takes you to the FB page where it plays.

Hey, that’s the Game of Thrones ‘pitch meeting’ guy.

I liked the ending.

It truly is a brilliantly funny distillation of Musk and Xitter.

My son and I greatly enjoy Ryan George, to the point that I bought him a “Super easy, barely an inconvenience!” t-shirt.

As I suspected, he has it on his YouTube channel as well. That will embed better:

I do this too. Every time I see a post by Musk claiming to be a champion of free speech, or a post by someone else claiming this about Musk, I just post “cisgender” and get the same damn message.

I’ve yet to get tagged by this message for anything else I’ve ever written on Xitter.

i see another round of layoffs in the near future

The prefix ‘cis’ murdered Elmo’s son, damn it! The limited visibility of your posts will continue until morale has improved.

Well, could we get creative with other cis-prefixed words? Would mentioning a monk trigger the same Hateful Conduct message, if he was a member of the Cistercians of the Common Observance? Or could I complain about the rainwater in my cistern?

When SpaceX pursues a lunar landing program in earnest, would I be censored for talking about the cislunar transfer phase of the mission trajectory?

The phrase contains both “cis-” and “trans-”. It’s probably double verboten.

God forbid you mention collective investment schemes…

Hopefully the next time he gets a physical, the doctor does not find any cists.

“Please state the nature of the medical emergency.”
“Doctor, this billionaire has suffered a third-degree BURN!”

Elmo really doesn’t want people to read NPR’s article about Trump disgracing himself at Arlington.

Twitter is about to get shut down in Brazil because Elmo isn’t used to dealing with a legal system where judges don’t bow down to the rich and refuses to comply with a court order to appoint a legal representative.

Admittedly, Brazil is an odd one to do business in. We have an office out there, and there has to be a legal representative that can be potentially held criminally responsible for the company’s operations.

That said, all this is well known to anybody who wants to do business down there, and well run companies know that’s how things go and follow the same law everybody else does. Because the Brazilians really don’t give a single damn if you’re a billion dollar company or not. They’ve had no problems getting compliance from much bigger companies than Twitter.

Oh well, it’s his loss. No number of local fanboys is going to matter for this one.

Washington Post: ”Elon Musk’s X reveals investors in court filing”

Fidelity said in a January filing that one of its mutual funds that had valued its stake in X at nearly $20 million in 2022 now judged it to be worth much less, at $5.6 million. Banks typically sell off loans provided for takeovers but recent data from PitchBook LCD, a financial data firm, indicates that the $13 billion of credit provided for Musk’s Twitter deal has remained unsold, or “hung,” for longer than any similar deal since the 2008 financial crisis, suggesting markets may have soured on X’s prospects.

Stranger

No! Really? How can this be?
