Believe the workers are being subjected to extremely hazardous and dangerous conditions.
Also believe 10, 000 times either level is extremely perilous to their health
. The government spokesman when he more than doubled the levels the workers would be allowed to be exposed to ,described it as “very regrettable”.
Put the bosses in the plants too. They can read gages.
You’re a very sick individual.
You think that the area is dangerous to be in and want to send bosses in there…for what? To increase their risk of exposure to cancer just so you can feel some form of vindication? How about put the trained people in there to get this under control and not have a bunch of unnecessary casualties?
No, you’d rather risk people’s health to make yourself feel better. You are a disgusting person. Get help.
Uh-ohs
Seriously, it’s a good read and lays out a few reasons why we shouldn’t be too excited about China going all nuke, and probably terrified if they do.
It was the bosses who made the decisions that imperiled the workers and the plants. In 2009 scientists told the plant managers a tsunami would be very problematic for the nuke plants. The management said it was fine and there was no danger. They refused to take measures to safeguard the plants. It is the workers who are being char broiled.
Human nature is disgusting and it is human nature to want the people who made the decisions to bear the consequences.
Look, this is all wrong. First you eat the babies for their nutritional value, then you shit them out you can burn that too. That’s a sophisticated proposal. And we’re nothing if not sophisticates.
It’s a modest proposal.

That means the west coast as a whole is prolly also seeing the same thing. Who said it would never make it over to the US? It has.
Someone named de Minimus.
Where are all the pro nuke people who assured us this was nothing to worry about a fortnight ago? Are they now distancing themselves from their rosy predictions of a brave new fissile world?
Ode to collateral damage. The radiation crisped are but the vanguard of a voltage unleavened.
This should cheer up the global warmers. Less people means less CO2
Any dead or injured-by-radiation people you know of?
I don’t think anyone said “nothing to worry” but more like “don’t sell your house and go on a whore-fucking rampage because the world isn’t going to end”
“don’t sell your house and go on a whore-fucking rampage”?
You say that like it’s a bad thing.
Don’t you have homework to do or something?
Mismanaging nuclear reactors is nothing to get frothed up about. Designing reactors near the The Big Wave and fault lines is an risk that must be accepted if we are to keep the lights on.
But heaven forfend that some of us dabble in real estate and get angry at idiots who destroy 20 mile radii of real estate where sub-humans live and froth about that destruction and the radiation being rained down on us 6,000 miles away.
Nobody has any right to increase the level of radiation I and my neighbors are exposed to. Only a complete shit-heels would say that it is okay to expose the whole world to multiple reactor breaches.
Damn it.
Yeah, and the world is full of shit heads who still want to say nuclear is all safe and we need to build more of them and we will all die and shit if we don’t have a fuckload of nuclear reactors everywhere.
You could at least wait until the disaster is over before shitting on the dead.
Meanwhile, the nuclear shit has hit the fan. Water in reactor 2 is measured at 1 sievert, which is a stupid way to say it, but it is obvious they are preparing to slowly break the bad news, a little at a time.
For everybody who can’t understand the complicated science part, this means the radioactive shit in the water in the reactor is 10 million times more radioactive than it should be.
That’s not 10 million times normal, it’s 10 million times what the radioactive water should be.
Time to consult the xkcd chart again.
Which dead would that be?
That’s a good question. Please advise who did state that (to quote your own link) " Minuscule amounts of radiation" would not be detected by the monitoring stations that were specifically designed to detect even the tiniest quantity of radioactive material, to check for nuclear testing?
