How beautiful.
The opening to the NY Philharmonic concerts is the Brahms Ein deustches Requiem, and I’m listening to it broadcast live. It’s also a memorial concert to the people lost in the disaster.
It’s so beautiful; I wish I could be there right now.
It is my favourite Requiem, superior imo over the more popular Mozart and Verdi requiems (although I like those as well).
It was beautiful, although the temi were a LOT faster than I’d ever heard with this. But it wasn’t rushed. Just very very powerful.
Fantastic bartione! Soprano was good, but a little wobbly in a couple places.
Very very touhing performance. Wish I had taped it.
