Nobody said democracy was smarter, more efficient, or makes a good floor wax as well as a dessert topping. Only that sharing power on a broad and inclusive basis is a Good Thing, because it is more just for people to govern themselves. That’s all you get. It’ll do.

IMO, there’s only one purely legit reason to vote for Trump if you voted for Obama: trade. Obama campaigned a fairly protectionist, and it was all baloney so no one’s going to believe Clinton’s newfound religion on trade. Trump is probably the first legit protectionist to run for the Presidency in a long time, so if protectionism is your #1 issue and you supported Obama, I can understand a vote for Trump now.
