The WSJ definitely has an inflated notion of the importance of NYC. I never felt the entire free world hinged on the outcome of an election in London, Paris or Singapore.
No, in fact, he’s been quite clear that he supports Jewish New Yorkers, and opposes antisemitism.
The grain of truth is that he opposes the genocide in Gaza. If you think that any objection to anything Israel does endangers “Jews”, then i guess you think he endangers Jews. But yeah, it’s bullshit.
Apparently a British paper contacted the wrong Bill deBlasio (they meant to email the former Mayor) about Mamdani’s policies. It’s not directly linked to the Mayor’s race, but I thought it was funny.
No, it wouldn’t increase housing supply. It might drop housing demand (if it actually happened, which it won’t) but it wouldn’t increase supply. If anything, it could decrease supply, though not by as much as it decreases demand.
As if the Post’s bleating about hordes of people fleeing NYC in the wake of a Mamdani election weren’t hilarious enough, here’s an even more ludicrous attempt by them to manufacture controversy out of literally nothing but sexism and cultural innuendo.
(This is a repost on Yahoo News, so don’t worry about giving the Post website the click.)
I used to get a lot of mailings from Republicans. And when Biden was running against Trump, i got all these letters about how of Biden won, Hilary and Nancy would really be in power. (Always first names.) It was so incredibly sexist. You hear a lot of the racists who support trump, but i think he gets at least as much support from the sexists. I guess they are trying the same tactic against Mamdani.
Pretty obviously. But this is a bit of a task, after they had spent a lifetime putting him up as just the worst (with no small help from Andrew himself).
