NYS Liquor: Anyone know the current status of the micro-distillery bill?

New York State bill S.6302 provides for the operation of micro-distilleries that use NYS-grown produce (grapes, apples, etc.) to create the liquor. Does anyone know what the current status of this bill is? I heard a bit of hoopla about it earlier in the fall, but nothing since.

The last update on S06302 is that passed the Senate, was referred to the Assembly, and referred to Economic Development on 6/8/2004. The Assembly counterpart, A10309 hasn’t made it out of Economic Development.

I did see that … but what does that mean? It’s been there for 6 months … can we expect it to EVER get out of Economic Development?
