NYT Spelling Bee drives me crazy

Haha! Nicely done.

So who’s going to be the first to complain that LILTINGLY and TINNILY are not accepted? OK, I guess that’s me.

I don’t mind those omissions, but no lignin feels like an oversight.

As a former electrical engineer, I think tinning should be accepted.

That’s what I was coming to post. I hadn’t thought about the others above.

BTW, is there any need to blur words not accepted, unless they might suggest words that were, e.g., LILTINGLY, suggesting LILTING?

Don’t think so. That’s exactly the reason I blurred the two words in my post.

Today should have been a bingo with ‘khat.’

I know the blurring is a bit silly. Would you open this thread before solving?

WHAMMO? WAHOO? I really wonder about the word list sometimes.

I often do, because I’m obviously not as sharp as many of my Doper brethren. I get hints as to what words not to try (if I haven’t already tried them, of course.)

Don’t bother to try TOKAMAK, not that many people out there are likely to.

My university had one of those!

I tried it

I admit I hadn’t heard of HATHA and only found it by chance.

I have no idea what that one means, but I always immediately add it whenever I see HATH.

Hatha yoga

.

No thanks. Don’t need a yoga at this time.

Lol!

I’m disappointed it doesn’t accept CAOUTCHOUC

Oh come on - no BACKBEAT?

I guess he could lose it.
