NYT Spelling Bee drives me crazy

The last few days have been such slogs that it was nice to be able to speed to Genius for a change.

Yeah, I bailed yesterday. I’m retired, and it felt like work.

I thought it would be a sprint straight to Queen but I was undone by unbuild.

After 8 appearances, they’ve removed CARIOCA.

It’s always fun to get to use RATATAT

I completed today’s Spelling Bee puzzle with few issues and reasonably quickly.

Today’s puzzle was basically too quick and easy.

As a non-subscriber who gets booted upon reaching ‘solid’, I entered exactly one word (albeit a pangram) and the game was over for me.

Haha! And, the PG couldn’t be any more obvious.

I found it pretty quickly and easily got to Genius. Maybe QB is a possibility without hints

Yes, pretty boring.

I also reached Queen Bee fairly quickly. Actually, I’ve done so for three days straight. Usually I need hints for the last two or three words, though I usually get to Genius on my own.

I came here to post that I’ve also had an easy, straightforward past 3 games. Does that mean a crazy difficult one coming up?

Here’s a gift link to John Hodgman’s column in this week’s NYT Magazine. On-topic for this thread:

Sam is apparently not Scottish, since he deprived us of a pangram today.

I tried that word. I only know of it because of Terry Pratchett, so it wasn’t a surprise it wasn’t accepted.

I tried that word as well.

BTW I achieved Queen Bee without hints, which was the case most of this week.

I know it’s a proper noun but I too tried it. Why not?

Still no GAMMON though.

I’ve only managed that twice but I mostly quit now after reaching Genius.

Spelling Bee has taught me that there are way fewer words that start with N than I would have guessed.
