NYT Spelling Bee drives me crazy

Yup. I try it every time.

Fairly certain LAPIN has been accepted in the past. Not this time.

It was possible 21 times in the past, and never was accepted.

Must be thinking of some other word.

Still no TIFFIN, but two final words I needed clues for.

Yesterday I discovered that you can’t just have one CHILBLAIN. Like DOLDRUMS, the S is required.

RIght? Me trying it twice and going to check the spelling. MW of course does have it in singular form.

I got through all but one word today but then needed hints to get ramify. Not a word I was familiar with.

VOMITORIA, a pangram, is unfortunately not accepted.

I only guessed it as a verb form of ramification.

Well that’s no fun…

It this the first time TORTA is accepted. I swear I’ve tried it before without success.

Third time it’s been accepted (all this year) after 43 rejections.

Thanks! You always come through!

Considering it’s been in the news lately, I’m somewhat surprised PHTHALATE isn’t accepted.

Today’s was an easy one. I got to QB fairly quickly. Did not note the time I began, but around 20-25 minutes. Didn’t even check the total score I was shooting for before hitting QB.

But which word did you find first: CHICKENING or EGGING?

OK, this made me laugh.

For the record, it was the second one for me.

:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

For me it was the NENE.

Yes, this was an easy one. (The pangram was checking, just so we’re clear.) I think the reason is there were no obscure words.

Finished today’s without help. I’ve given up on trying for QB, but perhaps I’ll revisit it to give it a try.

You know there were two, right?
