Will Ferguson tells the story of a woman who’s car goes off the road in California. The car is not visible from the road, after some time she clambers out and up to the highway, but the knock on the head has rendered her unable to remember who she is or what she’s doing there.
First on the scene is a cop who can’t get anywhere trying to figure out what has happened.
But she’s very polite, complies with his every request and is all ‘please and thank you’. He gets to thinking maybe she’s a Canadian, being so polite and all. Checks it out and sure enough, she’s a Canadian tourist, been missing for several hours.
His question was; What, exactly, do they do to Canadians that even with a concussion and unable to remember their own name, their manners will still be intact?
