what does this guy have to do to get sent to jail? (i know this is a general question, but i get so worked up about it that, to me, its really a rant!) jury acquits him for bitch slapping some dude! man, i figured they would convict him just for general purpose reasons!
if i ever need a partner in crime, i’m gonna look this dude up! shit, he’s insurance in Bruno Maglis!
AND THATS ANOTHER THING! what the hell happened to Robert Blake? is he just gonna skate away?
I question how much of a real news story the Robert Blake thing really was? Sure, what happened was real but do we really care as much as the media wants us to? That is the problem with the media. When they don’t have any real news to report, they hype the shit out of something trivial just so they can appear to be doing their job. Of course, now they have Anthrax. That’ll keep them busy for a long time.
OJ is practically invincible. America doesn’t like to imprison its icons.
It’s simply impossible to empanel a non-biased jury in an OJ case. And those that are willing to convict won’t be in the majority. The lawyers will see to that.
I was certain that OJ would walk, or get a hung jury.
In my experience, juries take their duties quite seriously. They were asked to determine whether the defendant snatched this man’s glasses off while he was in his car and after he admitted chasing the defendant down. The evidence on whether he was in his car was conflicting. They undoubtedly knew from the press that the defendant could get 16 years if convicted. Unlike the murder charges, snatching someone’s sunglasses is a frivolous charge, even if you do think he did it. The result does not surprise me one bit, nor does it seem unjust under the circumstances the jury was allowed to consider.
I believe that there was enough evidence to convict. Unfortunately, Marcia Clark was just about the stupidest prosecutor I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen a few.
I have been on a few juries, and yes, juries do take their duties very seriously. I don’t believe justice is always perfect, but that’s all we have; otherwise we’re no better than the animals.
I think a lot of people are missing the big picture here.
The prosecutor went completely goofy with this case.
O.J. fucked up and as far as I am concerned he went after the guy with the glasses here. I mean, come on, the guy does have a temper, and I’m not about to deny that.
But… but… the prosecutor in this case went completely goofy and went for all of it… she charged the guy with felony burglary and assualt.
Come on, it was far… but not that far.
Again, as far as I’m concerned, O.J. is a creap, but about the only people you can blame this on is the people charging him with more crimes than he’s really done.
In that sense, the guy is innocent.
In the sense that he’s fucked up, he’s guilty… let’s just hope these prosecutors get their sense of reality with them with he performs the next crime… which, I believe, he will.
Whatever the facts of this case, I admit I was desperately hoping they would exploit the opportunity to send that murderous fuck to jail for as long as possible.
But, you can’t go after this guy for things he didn’t do to get to the result you want.
No matter how you look at it, the guy didn’t commit a felony.
Had they prosecuted the guy for something smaller, and built it to his list, they’d have gone further in their pursuit to get this guy. But what they did, going after this guy for the worst possible crime, is incredulous…
It reminds me of Marsha Clark… go for it all at the risk of it all.
