O.J. innocent or guilty and what's your race & gender?

I’m just curious, and hope I am not perceived as being racist/sexist/judgmental.

He’s as guilty as sin, and I’m as white as a, um, sheet.

You might be perceived as a bit behind the times.

Guilty. South Asian. Male. It should be noted that I lived in England during the whole affair.

Case closed.

I think he is probably guilty, but not at all sure the inept prosecution deserved the win. If it takes you 99 days and 72 witnesses to prove your case, you don’t have a case.

How can anyone of any sex or race doubt he’s guilty after the entire “If I Did It” debacle?

Black male who thinks Simpson murdered his ex and her friend. That said, tehre’s a couple of problems with your poll. He’s been accused of more than one criime in his life, and you seem to assume there’s only two possible answers for race. What about the many varieties of Asian, or Hispanics, or Native American, etc?

Also, while I think OJ’s a murderer, I think the jury in his 90s criminal trial made the right decision. The prosecution did not meet their burden.

You might want to reconsider your simile.

New answer: I think he’s guilty, but I am not a member of a qualifying race to participate in this poll.

I *went to USC *and I think he’s guilty!

I was under the impression that many/most black people who thought he was innocent or even might be innocent at the time have changed their views due to subsequent events and the fullness of time.

I’d just like somebody on the jury to post here and own up to it. When (at what Voter count) do you think we’ll see the first “not guilty” vote?

ETA: At Voter #49, all guilty.

I know he is guilty, and I have personally never met a black person that said otherwise. Not one. I made a thread about it, and now that I look back, I don’t see how me writing that thread could have been anything other than trolling, because I sure had to foresee that reaction! But yeah. Guilty. As hell.

67 responses so far and nary a single “innocent” vote…

Guilty of what? Could we be a bit more specific? He’s probably committed multiple felonies. Which one or ones are you referring to?

It’s perfectly obvious that he did indeed kill Nicole and Ron.
But, as Procrustus and Skald pointed out, the prosecution bungled the case so badly that’s it’s no surprise he was acquited.

Obviously the heinous crime of putting mayonnaise on his pancakes.

No. Salt on his watermelon.

I am so going to hell…

Yes, and its title was ab fab. I’ll repeat what I said there because I still think it’s true:

"I think for a lot of black people (basing this off people I know, anyway), it was some sort of bizarre justice.

The day when a black guy armed with enough money and fancy lawyerin’ can kill two white people and get away with it, is the day it feels like there may some hope for racial equality. Money is finally more important than skin color, which is the way we’ve been perpetuating injustices since the dawn of money. Now if we can only stop rich people from getting away with murder, we’d have some actual justice and equality in the world."

All of them.

Yeah, but I’d be curious about the results if you took this same poll to Tha Hood. Just sayin’. . . .
