"Oath Keeper" arrested for plotting to take over a courthouse in Tennessee

Ah, yes, Tom Tomorrow. The Jack Chick of the PC left.

You could make yourself look stupider if you tried, you know.

But you’d have to try really hard.

He was a decorated US Army infantryman, and served in the first Gulf War.

Y’know, to be fair I wouldn’t automatically make the Oath Breakers and the Tea Party synonymous, although surely there’s a large overlap in their political support patterns. Many of the Tea Party started on their way there out of frustration at real situations (e.g. bank bailout) and looking for where to place blame. The Oath Breakers ISTM started right out from the wacky POVs of classic “tax resistor”/“militia”/birther conspiracy theory, and may be now hitching themselves to the larger movement.

Wait, wouldn’t that be Ted Rall?

Can you be the “Jack Chick” of anything and be politlcally correct? Jack Chick is well known because his screeds are so non-politically correct. A PC Jack Chick would be, like, Garfield or something.

That doesn’t make him brave. When one side so grossly outpowers the other that you are talking about casualties in the 100-to-1 range, being on the winning side takes no real bravery. There’s little risk killing people who can’t effectively fight back, and therefore no need for bravery.

Presumably you disagree with something specific in the linked strip. It might serve your point better if you explained what that something was.

Even the militia people don’t want anything to do with this clown:

The comments there are …um… how do you say “over-wrought”.

BTW, that’s one crappily-written article linked by the OP. It was a little hard for a simple guy like me to tell, but near as I can understand, Huff was not arrested at the traffic stop mentioned, but later, and after having reqaching his intened destination (and then going back home). It would appear that a bunch of yahoos. including Huff, did gather to carry out their ‘citizens arrests’ on April 20, but for whatever reason did not go ahead with their plans.

Also, I noticed this line in the article:

Wouldn’t a real American want to carry a real American weapon, like an AR-15, instead of that Commie crap?

Amazing. I take Tom Tomorrow strips with a grain of salt, but that right there shows the validity of the strip linked above.

Don’t forget there’s some even worse movements in that mix . . .

I feel naive for not realizing just how much nutso racism there was in this country. I have never believed that we lived in a post-racial society- I’m not even sure such a thing is possible- but I thought that save for the occasional fanatics most people were at least pragmatic enough to get over it in their day to day lives. I also don’t think that hating Obama’s policies or even Obama in and of itself makes one racist- Clinton was quite white indeed and had his share of haters- but the absolute lunacy where Obama and particularly his “Kenyan birth” No matter how many times his b.c. is posted or the birth announcement from Honolulu is posted- if a confirmed video of his mother giving birth while Dwight and Mamie Eisenhower stand on one side of the bed as Ronald Reagan holds her hand and Nancy says “PUSH!” and they all were wearing grass skirts saying “We’re in Honolulu!” and singing God Bless America and Nancy Reagan herself appeared on TV in 2010 to say “I remember that”, they wouldn’t accept it as evidence- this is 100% because of a nigra gittin’ elected, as I suspect is about half of the teabaggers.

I love Maddows pointing out their position that Obama was a CIA agent at Columbia, a university he never went to according to the same web page. But, while he wasn’t there, he was a CIA spook, a term I’m sure they’ve used before in relation to him.

Know how to make a Freeper’s head explode? Ask for an example.

Quite telling is that they problem they have with it is that it brings “negative attention from law enforcement”.
As if the issue is not getting caught rather than not doing illegal stuff.

Drop a “T” from that username, and it may well become the most truthful thing ever posted on that site.
