Obama and the KKK

So, has the KKK stated their official position on Obama’s run for the presidency? I know little about the KKK (basically what I’ve learnt from movies), so I don’t know if they are centrally organized.

Have other white supremacists organization opined on this? Has any of them made any threats?

I think I don’t want to search for this, but I am curious.

There is no single organization called the KKK. There are a number of organizations that go by the name KKK, some of which have no connection at all.

The Knights Party, USA has the following on its website:

Anything called the KKK is extremely tiny these days. It is basically the same as asking what the Columbus, Ohio Women’s Auxiliary District 12 thinks of the matter.

I believe, and the Wikipedia agrees, that there is no longer a single Klan. As such, there is no single official stance.

I can’t imagine that any of them have anything positive to say though.

You should also note that there are only a few thousand members in the various Klans in the US, so even if they did have an opinion, they’re not really a large enough group that it matters. They’re only famous for being famous these days.

There’s parody article going around claiming the KKK had endorsed Obama (which is being hotly denied by the hooded ones) but I can’t find any kind of official endorsement. I would guess they probably hate both parties.

Snopes on the article:
