What!?!?! You don’t think we criticize the Republicans? Of course we do. We are also criticizing their accomplice in the White House.
Perhaps he is the best we can do and I don’t actually want to live in a country (or world) where Michele Bachmann is POTUS. The only contribution I’ve made this year is the the Colbert SuperPAC.
We HAD a good deep fucking with BUSH. We tried to return the country to a more rational center of gravity, but over-expectant assholes like you fucked us even harder in 2010 by destroying the gains we’d made and allowing the Tea Party fuckers to steamroll their way into Congress.
That is complete, utter BULLSHIT.
Then you, too, are a traitor to this country if you would rather see it fucked into oblivion for the sake of your misplaced outrage at something that never existed.
Yep. Proves to me that you can’t possibly have paid any goddamn bit of attention in 2008 and you haven’t paid any attention for the past 2 1/2 years if you think Obama, Pelosi & Reid’s accomplishments have been nothing more than naming post offices.

February 23, 2011: Obama declared the Defense of Marriage act unconstitutional and will no longer be defending the cases in the 1st and 2nd circuits.
And we’re supposed to accept your interpretation of how Obama has governed, when you don’t even know what the hell he’s actually gotten done? Fuck that.
You’re fucking deluded.
Just because you’re so goddamn self-centered that you’d destroy this country because you’re butthurt, doesn’t mean President Obama is as arrogant as you. The cost of health care in this country is a huge contributor to the miserable shape of our economy. He was trying to address that. But since nothing is good enough for your sorry, selfish ass, he was bound to fail no matter what he did.
Why the hell does it matter what they CALL it? And I’m supposed to believe you’re a Liberal or a Democrat with the lack of understanding or compassion you display. You sicken me. YOU may as well be a Republican.
Riiiiiiiiight. Because I support him in spite of not agreeing with everything he’s done, I’m a kool-aid drinker. Get Fucking Real. Just because someone supports ensuring we keep a Democratic president to protect the Supreme Court from swinging so far Right that we wouldn’t stand a chance in hell of recovering for at least 100 years, doesn’t make them a kool-aid drinker.
No, I am talking about since year 2000 when former Clinton official, John Schmidt, came home to Illinois and reorganized the Mayors office. It was set up much like the Clinton White House. Unlike his father Richard J Daley, current Chicago mayor Richard M. Daley is the “brand name.” He is the face man for a brain trust that includes some of the finest Democratic minds in the nation. I would think most would be aware of this since Mayor Daley’s brother became the White House chief of staff.
Chicago style politics works because, again justice is quick and things get done on timely basis. A lesson learned in 1871 after the entire Chicago fire left the city in ashes. There was no time for discussion things needed to get done. Some of it was done Al Capone style. Chicago boldly advertises its pride in their efforts to solve problems, and even in Al Capone’s day, (he may as well have been mayor), they were not exterminating people because of booze profits.
By the way few know this, but Al Capone was a family man from the south-side of Chicago among other things. The family suffered with a deaf child that infuriated Big Al that with all his power, he could do nothing where it really mattered. Some have said that Al Capone’s lavish life at the Lexington Hotel was merely public image, and he spent his time at his south side home. I am inclined to believe he was an Italian, Catholic family person, and enjoyed his lavish lifestyle.
Say what you will about Chicago, the city works. Trash gets picked up on time, and snow is plowed when it comes down. No other city can boast that they run as efficiently as Chicago. Chicago cuts corners, gets things done, and runs our nation.
I like you. Your are angry, and post out of control. Guys like you remind me of being out on the campaign trail. We agree with you on every thing you want to hear to get your vote. Then after the election when you phone, your calls are not returned. You are either with the progressive program and follow the instructions of our elected leaders, or you quickly find yourself outside looking in.
I find your posts to be hot air and waving your fists at windmills. You are not the kind of guy Americans take seriously in politics. You made your bed, and you are ignored by the mainstream.
Degrees are for pussys. Whatever it takes to get the job done. In for a dime, in for a dollar. The real question is how fast can we separate the talkers for the doers?
When it comes to your own personal ethics. I would suggest playing it straight. When someone has to go under the bus, it is usually a guy like former Illinois Governor Rod R. Blagojevich who tried to sell president Obama’s Senate seat. Now that he has been used he will just disappear.
Just like Senator Charles Percy’s daughter mysteriously disappear. Poor Percy he began to think he was a Republican before he was a Chicagoan. This is hard-ball politics and not for philosophical bull shitters. If real politics is too tough for you I suggest you stay out of it. And, by the way Chicago is no different than most major cities. Check out the history of Los Angeles, especially in the 1930s-1950s. They did the same thing, but very quietly.
I see my ‘bold’ button does not work. So, it must be time for me to leave. I am not going to play childish games with an adolescent moderator. I am an adult, I will design my posts as I SEE FIT. I think this group is best left to itself lost in the Twilight Zone. There is no real work being done here. But, thanks for the experience.
